Kunst komt voort uit onbeleefde momenten, is ongeleefd leven. Het zijn momenten die intens ervaren worden van buitenaf.
De angst voor de dood is volgens de Tao angst voor ongeleefd leven, onbeleefde momenten.
Kunst zou dan ook ontstaan uit een angst het leven niet ten volle te kunnen leven. De stelling dat kunst een werk tegen de natuur is wordt hierdoor bewezen: de rechtlijnige voortgang en ondergang der dingen wordt tegengesproken door kunst.
Kunst is daarom een filosofisch overlevingsmechanisme en behoort als dusdanig tot het efemere in de levenscyclus. (87) (22)
Art originates from un-experienced moments, is unlived life. The moments that are experienced intensely from the outside.
According to the Tao fear of death is fear for unlived life, un-experienced moments.
Art could therefore also originate from a fear not to be able to live life to the fullest. The proposition that art is a work against nature is being proven by this: the straightforward progress and decline of things is being contradicted by art.
Art therefore is a philosophical survival mechanism and as such belongs to the ephemeral in the life cycle. (87)
