January 3 Rigid

Dit noemt men luiheid. (2.84)

There exists a certain aversion to doing things of which one is fully aware they have wholesome effect.
The state of lesser quality has only one characteristic: being easy.
Every change of this state, in this context meaning profoundness, takes effort and the pleasure that follows, after the action, more than once, oh shame, looses the plead as motivation. This we call laziness. (2.84)
