Al te vaak wordt evenwicht met symmetrie verward. Verwarring onder andere, naar vorm en inhoud, kan net zo goed evenwicht suggereren én zijn.
De instelling van waaruit de aktie tot evenwicht ontspringt is belangrijker om het gewenste resultaat te bereiken, dan de zuiver vormelijke afstraling. Deze evolueert toch normengebonden in de tijd, is onstabiel en dus onbetrouwbaar. In se is evenwicht een toestand die vertrouwen opwekt, hoe kan dit element dan rechtstreeks verbonden zijn met menselijke willekeurigheid?
Meteen wordt duidelijk dat evenwicht iets is dat boven de mens staat, dat anders gezegd, met het diepste wezen van de mens te maken heeft. Een toestand die die mens willens nillens opnieuw probeert op te roepen, heruitvindt en telkens weer verliest. Juist om de reden dat deze toestand boven de tijd staat en zich niet in ogenblikken laat inblikken.
De mens voelt dat evenwicht kàn, maar juist de aktie van het opzoeken, heroriënteren ervan is een daad tegen de logika van het evenwicht. Evenwicht is er, op een bepaald moment; het is een geschenk dat tenvolle en bewust doorleefd moet worden op dat ogenblik. Het overvalt en wij ondergaan. Men moet een net spinnen van positieve handelingen in een omgeving van aktie en geloof in het eigen ik als volledigheid. (88)

Only too often equilibrium is confused with symmetry. Confusion among other things, in form and content, can just as well suggest equilibrium and be it.
The mentality from which the action for equilibrium originates is more important in order to obtain the desired result than the pure formal reflection. This anyhow evolves, bound by standards in time, is unstable and thus unreliable. In itself equilibrium is a situation that arouses confidence, how then can this element be directly connected to human arbitrariness?
Immediately it becomes clear that equilibrium is something superior to the human being, in other words it deals with the depths of human soul. A situation that this person willingly or unwillingly tries to call up, reinvenst it and time and again loses it. Exactly because this situation stands above time and is not to be boxed up in moments.
Human being senses that equilibrium is possible, but precisely the action of looking out for it, reorientating it, is an act against the logic of the equilibrium. Equilibrium is there, at a certain moment; it is a present that needs to be lived, fully and consciously, at that precise moment. It surprises and we submit to it. One has to spin a web of positive acts in an environment of action and belief in one's own perfection. (88)
